These came in exactly as pictured and haven't irritated my ears at all. I can't use the normal cheap metals and I don't like the look of titanium so these have been great. I've also been able to sleep/shower with them on and no problems.

pearl seems genuine. and this item is as described although the "leather" cord feels more like fake leather to me. there is no smell and it has a waxy texture, so we shall see as it wears. it is very sturdy and easy to cinch to the precise length looks very nice on. but i will be highly disappointed if it turns out to not be a leather cord at this price point.
