This sterling silver pendant features spiny oyster shells. Vibrant orange, red, and purple spiny oysters are set in a silver bezel and surrounded by beaded and twist-wire silver accents. The bail of the pendant is made up of two spinning rings - great for fidgety fingers. All metal is solid 925 sterling silver.

In ancient South American cultures, spiny oyster shells were more valuable than gold and silver. Only Shamans or elders were allowed to wear or use them. Spiny oyster shells are very difficult to harvest and polish which makes spiny oysters much sought after by collectors.
