This sterling silver pendant features spiny oyster shells and turquoise. The spiny oyster is vibrant orange and purple with a little white. In between these two shells is a faceted blue kingman turquoise stone. They are accented with silver flowers, twist and beaded wire. The bail of the pendant is stamped and will accommodate a beaded necklace or chain up to 7.5mm wide All metal is solid 925 sterling silver.

In ancient South American cultures, spiny oyster shells were more valuable than gold and silver. Only Shamans or elders were allowed to wear or use them. Spiny oyster shells are very difficult to harvest and polish which makes spiny oysters much sought after by collectors.
