A pretty pink thulite pendant. Thulite is from Norway and known as Rosaline Stone, and Zoisite. Set in sterling silver and accented with silver granules around the stone and a flower off to the side. The bail on the pendant is made up of two spinning rings - great for fidgety fingers. The pendant hangs from an antiqued chain. All metal is solid 925 sterling silver.
Interesting facts about Thulite: It is named after the mythical island of Thule, (what is now Norway). For most of Medieval Europe, Thule represented the furthest known northern borders of the world. Thulite, also called Rosaline, is a variety of Zoisite. Discovered in the quaint village of Sauland, the mine is nestled in the rolling land of Telemark, a county of Norway. Rock croppings and valleys make the land difficult to navigate. The mine is only accessible by helicopter. This is a beautiful piece that makes a great conversation starter!
